Daniela Montoya scored a late equaliser as Colombia earned a 1-1 draw against Mexico in their opening Women's World Cup match this evening.
Veronica Perez broke the deadlock in the 35th minute when she collected a short corner and bent in a cross that the keeper could only touch onto the bar, before the ball ended up crossing the line.
Colombia pressed for a way back into the match and they were rewarded eight minutes from the end as Tatiana Ariza laid the ball off for Montoya to hammer a strike into the top corner.
It proved to be the final action of the match, with both teams taking a point to move above England in Group F.
