Coventry vs. Sunderland (Saturday, 12.30pm)

Coventry City could move to within just one point of Sunderland in the Championship table when they welcome the Black Cats to the Coventry Building Society Arena on Saturday lunchtime.

The two sides suffered contrasting results against Rotherham United in their most recent battles, with the hosts seeing off the Millers 2-0 last weekend, while Tony Mowbray's side lost 2-1 on Tuesday.

We say: Coventry City 1-1 Sunderland

Very few sides have managed to prevail against Coventry on their own turf in recent weeks, but similarly, Sunderland developed a penchant for away-day performances before being seen off by Rotherham.

A close contest should be on the cards between two sides who could still upset the playoff apple cart, and we expect the two top-six hopefuls to cancel each other out and take home a point apiece.

Birmingham vs. Luton (Saturday, 3.00pm)

Birmingham City will be hoping to move away from trouble at the bottom end of the Championship when they entertain promoting-chasing Luton Town at St Andrew's on Saturday afternoon.

Blues suffered a third-straight defeat in the league in the week as they lost at Norwich City, whereas Luton were defeated by league-leaders Burnley last time out.

We say: Birmingham City 1-2 Luton Town

Birmingham were beginning to get their small squad back to full fitness before injuries in key areas hit the camp in recent matches, and the XI on the pitch have failed to impress over the past week.

Luton will be targeting a trip to a half-empty St Andrew's as a chance to get back to winning ways, and we believe that they will do just that on Saturday.

Bristol City vs. Hull City (Saturday, 3.00pm)

A mid-table clash in the Championship takes place at Ashton Gate on Saturday as Bristol City play host to Hull City.

While the Robins are yet to lose on home soil in 2023, the Tigers are seeking to avoid a fourth successive away game without a win.

We say: Bristol City 2-1 Hull City

A closely-fought contest is set to be played out between two teams who will fancy their chances of coming away with all three points on Saturday.

Considering their impressive unbeaten run, we believe the Robins will get their revenge over the Tigers to claim a slender victory on home soil.

Burnley vs. Huddersfield (Saturday, 3.00pm)

Burnley will be looking to move a step closer to promotion when they play host to Huddersfield Town in the Championship on Saturday afternoon.

At a time when the leaders sit 16 points clear of third position in the standings, the visitors sit level on points with two other clubs in the relegation zone.

We say: Burnley 2-0 Huddersfield Town

With a number of minor issues in the Burnley camp, Huddersfield may sense an opportunity to cause one of the upsets of the season. However, the professionalism instilled in the Clarets should help them grind out another three points at Turf Moor.

Norwich vs. Cardiff (Saturday, 3.00pm)

Norwich City play host to Cardiff City on Saturday afternoon looking for the win which may be enough to move the Canaries back into the Championship playoff spots.

At a time when the home side occupy ninth position in the standings, Cardiff are down in 21st spot, albeit after posting back-to-back wins.

We say: Norwich City 2-1 Cardiff City

Despite the difference in league positions, this should prove to be a competitive fixture with Cardiff having seemingly turned a corner under Lamouchi. Nevertheless, so have Norwich under Wagner, and we feel that the Canaries will edge this contest by the odd goal in three.

Preston vs. Wigan (Saturday, 3.00pm)

Preston North End will be aiming to secure their first win of the month when they welcome Wigan Athletic to Deepdale on Saturday afternoon in the Championship.

Both sides endured goalless draws in their last outings, with Preston earning a point at Hull City, while Wigan held promoting-chasing Norwich City to a single point.

We say: Preston North End 0-1 Wigan Athletic

Preston will be targeting this fixture as a must win in order to close the gap on the playoffs, but considering their home form, three points are nowhere near a given on Saturday.

Wigan have improved markedly since the arrival of Maloney earlier this month, and we believe that they will earn all three points to lift themselves off the bottom of the Championship table.

QPR vs. Blackburn (Saturday, 3.00pm)

Gareth Ainsworth will be wanting to move Queens Park Rangers away from any potential relegation battle when he takes charge of his first game against Blackburn Rovers on Saturday afternoon.

While the home side sit in 18th spot in the Championship table, Rovers have recently moved back up to fourth courtesy of successive victories.

We say: Queens Park Rangers 1-1 Blackburn Rovers

While QPR will surely give a better account of themselves under Ainsworth, they are facing opponents who have regained their confidence. Taking everything into consideration, we can see a competitive draw being played out at Loftus Road.

Reading vs. Blackpool (Saturday, 3.00pm)

Reading will be looking to get back to winning ways when they host struggling Blackpool at the Select Car Leasing Stadium on Saturday afternoon in the Championship.

The Royals were defeated at Cardiff City last time out, whereas Blackpool lost out at Ewood Park as their chances of escaping relegation diminished.

We say: Reading 1-1 Blackpool

Reading have been significantly better on home soil compared to on their travels this campaign and will be hoping to continue that with success over Blackpool on Saturday.

The Seasiders have been one of the league's worst travellers to date and will not be favourites for three points - although we believe they will be good enough for a share of the spoils.

Sheff Utd vs. Watford (Saturday, 3.00pm)

Hoping to bounce back from consecutive defeats in the fight at the top end of the Championship table, Sheffield United will welcome Watford to Bramall Lane for a crucial contest on Saturday.

The Blades' lead over third-placed Middlesbrough has been reduced to four points recently, while their visitors sit just outside the playoff places, only trailing fifth-placed Millwall and sixth-placed Luton Town on goal difference.

We say: Sheffield United 1-1 Watford

Sheffield United may still be reeling from the back-to-back defeats which have quickly ramped up the pressure in the fight for promotion, while the Hornets will have gained some confidence from their important win last time out, and we see a share of the spoils as the most likely outcome at Bramall Lane on Saturday.

Stoke vs. Millwall (Saturday, 3.00pm)

Millwall make the trip to Stoke City on Saturday afternoon potentially requiring all three points to retain a spot in the Championship playoffs.

At a time when the Lions occupy fifth position in the standings, the Potters are 17th after a much-needed victory in midweek.

We say: Stoke City 1-1 Millwall

Although Millwall will consider themselves as favourites for this contest, it remains to be seen what their last two fixtures have taken out of them. With Stoke having improved of late, a share of the spoils could be played out in the Potteries.

West Brom vs. Middlesbrough (Saturday, 3.00pm)

West Bromwich Albion will be looking to return to winning ways in the Championship when they host high-flying Middlesbrough at The Hawthorns on Saturday afternoon.

Both sides have lofty ambitions of earning promotion to the Premier League this season, although Boro are currently a mammoth 12 points ahead of the Baggies as they hunt down Sheffield United.

We say: West Bromwich Albion 1-1 Middlesbrough

West Brom have started to stutter in their playoff charge for the first time under Corberan, and the visit of an in-from Middlesbrough is not the easiest game to get back to winning ways in.

Boro are closing in on the automatic promotion spots after a sensational run of form, however we feel they might have to settle for just a point at The Hawthorns on Saturday.
