Coventry City manager Steven Pressley has lauded "phenomenal" Leon Clarke following his brace in the 2-1 win over Hartlepool in their second-round FA Cup replay.
The 28-year-old fired the opening goal of the night before hitting a 90th-minute winner to cancel out Jack Baldwin's equaliser and seal the Sky Blues' progression to the third round of the competition.
Clarke brought his total for the season to 14 following his double over the Pools and, speaking to the club's official website, Pressley was at a loss for words to describe the in-form marksman.
"What can you say about Leon," said the Scot. "He's a striker of phenomenal quality at this level and he's scored two excellent goals tonight.
"He's a big player for us and when he's out he's missed but overall I thought it was a great team performance."
The victory means that Pressley's men travel to Oakwell for a clash with Championship outfit Barnsley next month.
