Coventry City have narrowed their search for a new manager to three names and hope to make an appointment next week.
After being inundated with applications, the League One club had initially created a nine-man shortlist, but they have now further reduced that to three.
It has not been revealed which names are on their shortlist, but Phil Brown and Oxford United manager Chris Wilder have been heavily linked with the job.
Richard Shaw is currently acting as caretaker manager for the club but he has failed to win either of his two league matches in charge and the club have slumped to 21st place in the League One table.
