Coventry City scored twice in the final 10 minutes to hold Port Vale to a 2-2 draw at Sixfields Stadium this afternoon.
The visitors were given the ideal start as Doug Loft fired Vale ahead after 37 seconds by dinking the ball over the out-rushing Joe Murphy before finishing from close range.
City responded well to falling behind so early and almost restored parity on eight minutes through Carl Baker, whose fierce shot whistled wide of the mark.
Micky Adams's men then spurned good opportunities to double their advantage as Tom Pope forced Murphy into a good save, before Loft fired over the bar from a good position.
Ben Williamson doubled his team's lead on 73 minutes by heading home a Carl Dickinson cross from close range.
However, Jordan Clarke headed home what seemed a mere consolation for the hosts on 81 minutes, only for Callum Wilson to break through and evade three tackles before slotting beyond Chris Neal to salvage a point for the Sky Blues.
