The FA have confirmed that they are looking into comments made by Crystal Palace midfielder Jason Puncheon following his side's 2-0 defeat to Tottenham Hotspur on Saturday.
Puncheon took issue with comments made by his former manager Neil Warnock after he missed a penalty during the match, publishing a series of tweets slamming him that have since been deleted.
Warnock is thought to be considering legal action against Puncheon, and the 27-year-old could also now face punishment from the FA.
English football's governing body is reportedly gathering more information on the incident, but a spokesman did confirm that they are "looking into it".
Puncheon is currently on loan at Palace from Southampton, with the Eagles sitting bottom of the Premier League table, one point adrift of safety.
