Former Crystal Palace chairman Simon Jordan believes that manager Dougie Freedman did not leave the club on his own accord.
The Scotsman parted ways with the Championship outfit this week to join Bolton Wanderers, despite no official confirmation from the Trotters regarding his arrival.
"There's no way that if Freedman was doing a good job, whether I liked him or not, and doing a good job is managing a squad which is probably not strong enough but is punching well in the league right now with all the players pulling in the right direction – why would you allow him to go?" The Express quotes Jordan as saying.
"I don't think I'd have let Freedman leave. At the moment Dougie is managing a club that's fourth in the league and doing well, so why go to Bolton?"
Bolton currently sit 16th in the league table.
