Crystal Palace goalkeeper Julian Speroni has praised the team's defensive improvement following Tuesday's 1-0 win over Hull City in the Premier League.
The Eagles kept their fifth clean sheet in 11 games last night as Jason Puncheon's goal earned them a narrow victory at Selhurst Park.
Speroni believes that Palace's resilience at the back is now giving them a good platform to stay in the top flight.
"We're a lot more solid than we used to be," the shot-stopper is quoted as saying by Sky Sports News.
"It gives the team a lot of confidence when we keep clean sheets. We are defending as a team, trying not to leave any spaces at the back, and that means we are going into every game knowing that we can win."
Palace are back in action on Saturday when they travel to Arsenal in the Premier League.
