Crystal Palace manager Roy Hodgson is already planning for the January transfer window and reportedly intends to fill his squad with Premier League-experienced players.
The Eagles find themselves bottom of the top flight following a run of seven games without a point or a goal to begin the 2017-18 campaign.
Hodgson, brought on board to replace Frank de Boer a month ago, has seen his side make the worst start of any team to a Prem campaign and intends to respond by bringing in new recruits during the winter.
Three of Palace's four signings in the summer were aged 21 or younger, but the Daily Mail claims that the South London outfit will now go the opposite way by bringing in older players in the New Year.
Hodgson is said to be unhappy with the lack of experience in his ranks, with Jack Wilshere - who has close to 150 top-flight appearances under his belt - among those being targeted.
