Dallas secure victory over Toronto in the MLS after a three-hour delay caused by a storm and floodlight failure.
Result: Dallas overcome Toronto

Dallas made hard work of defeating Toronto 3-2 in the MLS after the game was delayed just before half time for over three hours.

Fabian Castillo got the home side off to the perfect start, poking home from a tight angle following a long ball.

Dallas's lead was doubled with Castillo's second of the game as he cut in from the left before curling in a right-footed effort.

Before the half-hour mark, Blas Perez made it three by capitalising on poor Toronto defending before slotting home.

Then came the torrential rain and storms just before half time, with half of the lights around Toyota Stadium going out.

Play did not resume until over three hours later, and when it did, Dallas continued to dominate, though they could not extend their lead.

Sebastian Giovinco scored late on for Toronto with a well-taken individual effort, before converting a free-kick to reduce the deficit to one with just minutes to go.

The result leaves Dallas second in the Western Conference, while Toronto are ninth in the Eastern Conference.
