Toronto have held DC United to a 1-1 draw at home in their MLS clash.

DC United have been held to a 1-1 draw at home by Toronto.

The two sides at the bottom of the Eastern Conference could not be separated in tonight's MLS encounter.

The hosts started on the front foot and went ahead after ten minutes thanks to Dwayne De Rosario's long-range effort.

Luis Silva then missed a couple of chances to double the lead either side of half time, before Toronto equalised. Reggie Lambe found Bobby Convey inside the box, and the former Reading man made no mistake, firing into the bottom corner.

Robert Earnshaw missed a good chance to win it for the visitors late on, but couldn't find the target with his glancing header, and the game finished 1-1.
