Sweden draw 2-2 in Denmark to beat their Scandinavian opponents 4-3 on aggregate and progress to Euro 2016.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic's double has ensured that Sweden will take part in next year's Euro 2016 tournament after a 2-2 draw in Copenhagen this evening gave them a 4-3 aggregate win over Denmark.

Mikael Lustig almost inadvertently put Denmark ahead on the night after 10 minutes as his attempted clearance crashed against his own bar.

Denmark continued in the ascendancy as Yussuf Poulsen forced Andreas Isaksson into a save after a mazy run into the box.

However, Ibrahimovic peeled away from his marker at a corner to slam home a half-volley in the 19th minute to stun the home crowd into silence.

Kasper Schmeichel then made a sprawling save to prevent Ibrahimovic from doubling his tally before Daniel Agger was relieved to see his attempt at a block loop onto the top of the net as Sweden threatened to run away with the tie in the first half.

Morten Olsen threw on Michael Krohn-Dehli at the break in an attempt to swing the game in Denmark's favour, but the hosts were unable to create any chances in a scrappy start to the second half.

In the 72nd minute Christian Eriksen was denied at close range by Isaksson before Ibrahimovic effectively put the tie beyond Denmark with an arcing free kick into the top corner from 25 yards.

The Paris Saint-Germain striker then sent another set piece narrowly wide before Marcus Berg shot over as Sweden looked to rack up their third goal of the night.

Instead, Denmark pulled one back with less than 10 minutes left through Poulsen and then substitute Jannik Vestergaard levelled the game in injury time, but the goals proved to be too little too late as Sweden progressed courtesy of their first-leg result.
