Deportivo La Coruna midfielder Celso Borges will reportedly require an operation to correct the foot injury he picked up on international duty.
The Costa Rica international fractured the fifth metatarsal in his left foot representing his nation and returned to his club for an analysis on Tuesday, according to AS.
It is understood that Deportivo's medical team recommended surgery due to the extent of the damage, with the midfielder now facing four months on the sidelines.
Borges, 27, who has 86 Costa Rica caps to his name, has made 11 league appearances for his Spanish club this season having joined on a permanent deal from AIK in the summer transfer window.
