Championship side Derby County were the lucky team picked out of the hat this afternoon to win the Sky Bet Transfer Fund of £250,000 to spend on transfers.
The Rams were one of 10 Football League finalists in the draw, and their supporter Richard Jones was the lucky fan to win the sum for his club as well as £5,000 for himself.
"This money will certainly help," Derby head of tickets, analytics and technology, Brandon Furse, told Sky Sports News. "We've got a new football management team at Derby. This will certainly help to strengthen us and it could make a difference.
"We've been close the last couple of seasons and, who knows, this might just be the player that scores us that goal or saves that goal for us. We'll put it to very, very good use."
Derby, who narrowly missed the playoffs last season, have already signed Tom Ince, Darren Bent, Alex Pearce, Scott Carson, Chris Baird and Andreas Weimann this summer as they aim for promotion to the Premier League in 2015-16.
The nine clubs to miss out in the draw were Peterborough United, Carlisle United, Ipswich Town, Cardiff City, Rotherham United, Coventry City, Newport County, Bolton Wanderers and Southend United.
