Thomas Ince has suggested upon joining Derby County that he regrets his loan spell at rivals Nottingham Forest.
The 23-year-old, who signed for the Rams from Hull City until the end of the season on deadline day, played six times in two months at Forest prior to Christmas.
Ince has confessed that his lack of regular football left him questioning why he moved to the City Ground.
"Forest had a great start to the season and then they went on a bit of a bad run," he told the Derby Telegraph.
"I went into the side knowing that. I started the first few games and got man of the match in a few of them but then found myself not playing.
"It got to a point where I thought, without sounding bad, 'what have I come here for'. In the beginning I thought the move was the right thing and at the end you think 'Okay. I will learn from it'. These things happen in football. It is not always an easy road, you know there will be rocky times."
Ince could make his Derby debut when they host Bolton Wanderers in the Championship on Saturday.
