Derby County manager Frank Lampard has suggested that he will attempt to reintegrate Matej Vydra back into the first-team squad.
The Rams are required to make cutbacks this summer in order to fulfil their obligations with FFP, but the Czech Republic international has failed to complete an £11m transfer to Leeds United.
Vydra finds himself in limbo, but Lampard has suggested that the forward will now become an option for the first team.
At a press conference, Lampard told reporters: "The only clarity is that he's our player.
"There was interest in him, I think we're all aware of that, I saw it on TV in the week. He's our player and there's no one knocking our door down making offers for him."
Derby begin their Championship campaign away at Reading on Friday night.
