Steve McClaren has admitted that Derby County did not defend well in their 2-0 defeat the Wolverhampton Wanderers at Molineux in the Championship this evening.
The visitors looked the stronger side in the first half and had the ball in the back of the net when Tom Ince played on after Darren Bent was fouled, but the referee called it back before Wolves scored twice in the second half.
The manager told Sky Sports News: "Everyone saw the incident, but it is gone. We were playing ever so well but that means nothing at this stage of the season, it is about getting results. The decisions today, I have to be careful what I say.
"We have peppered their goal, we have hit the woodwork but not defended well at our end. I am just sorry for the players who lost the game."
The result leaves Derby fifth in the table with no wins from their last six league outings.
