Ben Osborn scores in stoppage time to give Nottingham Forest a 2-1 win over Derby County in the Championship.

An injury-time goal from Ben Osborn has given Nottingham Forest a 2-1 win over Derby County at the iPro Stadium in the Championship this afternoon.

The visitors thought that they should have had a penalty in the opening few minutes when Jake Buxton appeared to pull down Michail Antonio, but the referee was not interested in their appeals.

Despite Forest's early dominance, it was Derby who broke the deadlock when a Johnny Russell corner was headed into the back of the net by Henri Lansbury for an own goal.

Dorus de Vries had to remain alert to stop the Rams from doubling their lead, but he managed to tip a Jamie Ward effort behind for a corner.

Britt Assombalonga tried to set up an equaliser shortly before the break, but Jack Hobbs's finish did not force Lee Grant into action.

The visitors dominated possession early in the second half as they tried to get back on level terms, but Assombalanga's shot was blocked by Buxton.

Forest came close again inside the last 20 minutes when Kelvin Wilson found himself through on goal, but he could not get the better of Grant.

Stuart Pearce's side continued to look the more likely as the second period progressed though, and finally got the goal back in the 75th minute when Assambalonga blasted the ball in from close range.

Lansbury tried to set up the Forest goalscorer again a few minutes later, but Lee Grant came off his line to beat the striker to the ball and make the clearance.

The visitors sealed the win in stoppage time when Osborn scored his first senior goal for the club, blasting the ball into the roof of the net to secure all three points for the visitors.

The result leaves Derby second in the table, while Forest are up to 11th.
