Derby County have emerged as late contenders to sign Celtic-bound midfielder John McGinn from Hibernian, according to a report.
The 23-year-old is understood to have been lined up for a move to the Glasgow giants, where he has strong connections through grandfather and former Bhoys chairman Jack McGinn.
New Derby boss Frank Lampard has also taken a fancy to McGinn, however, and The Sun claims that the Rams are prepared to hand over £3m for his signature.
Fellow Championship club Birmingham City may also join the chase, potentially driving up the former St Mirren man's valuation.
McGinn appeared 42 times in all competitions for Hibernian last season and was also used in both of Scotland's recent international friendlies.
