Derby County boss Frank Lampard will allegedly line up a bid for former Chelsea teammate John Terry, should current skipper Curtis Davies leave the club.
According to The Mirror, Gary Rowett, who left Derby for Stoke City in May, reportedly wants Davies back in his team as he looks to guide the Potters back to the Premier League.
The newspaper adds that, should a deal go through for Davies, Lampard has earmarked former Aston Villa defender Terry as a potential replacement.
Terry is a free agent following Villa's failed promotion push last season, and could be tempted by a reunion with former Blues teammate Lampard.
The pair won the Premier League and the Champions League while together at Chelsea.
