A late Anass Achahbar goal has given Feyenoord a 2-1 win away at Eredivisie bottom club Dordrecht in this afternoon's clash at the Riwal Hoogwerkers Stadion.
The visitors took the lead in the 19th minute when Jordy Clasie's cross was headed home by Elvis Manu.
Feyenoord could have doubled their lead on the half-hour mark when Mitchell te Vrede was put through on goal, but the 23-year-old fired wide.
On the stroke of half time, the hosts came within a whisker of equalising, but Kenneth Vermeer was able to get his foot onto Giovanni Korte's shot and keep the Feyenoord clean sheet unsullied.
Just after the hour, Dordrecht succeeded in pulling level as Joris van Overeem's cross fell to Jeffry Fortes, who successfully nodded home.
Ernie Brandts's charges were on course to hold the Rotterdam giants to a precious draw, but in second-half injury time, Achahbar thumped a header into the net to break Dordrecht hearts.
The result puts the hosts 10 points from safety at the bottom of the league, while Feyenoord remain third.
