Dundee United midfielder John Rankin has signed a new two-year contract with the Scottish Premiership club.
The 30-year-old's new deal at Tannadice Park is due to expire at the end of the 2015-16 season.
"This is great news for the club and fans," manager Jackie McNamara told United's official website.
"John wanted to stay here and continue to enjoy his football and we are delighted with the job he is doing. We want our young players to learn good habits and both on and off the park John leads by example.
"The fans will be thrilled with this news and I am delighted that he will be part of my squad for a further two seasons."
Rankin joined Dundee from Hibernian in 2011.
