Dynamo Kiev's chances of qualifying from Champions League Group G have been dealt a huge boost as Denis Garmash's goal has given them a 1-0 half-time lead over Maccabi Tel Aviv.
Garmash thought that he had put his side ahead after just two minutes when he bundled home a pass from Junior Moraes at the back post, but the goal was ruled out for offside by Dutch referee Bjoern Kuipers.
Moraes then latched on to a long ball over the top from Andriy Yarmolenko, before sending a dipping half-volley towards goal that was tipped over the top by Predrag Rajkovic.
Dynamo then took the lead when Garmash was on hand to poke home from close range after Rajkovic had clawed away a Yarmolenko free kick.
The away side's best chance to equalise came when Dor Micha crossed for Eliazer Dasa at the back post, but the Maccabi man could only fire over the top of goal.
