Porto and Dynamo Kiev have gone into half time level courtesy of a Vincent Aboubakar equaliser for the Portuguese side three minutes after Oleg Gusev had broken the deadlock.
The Ukrainian side started the game brightly as they picked up an early corner inside the opening three minutes, only for the set piece to be headed wide by defender Yevhen Khacheridi.
The hosts continued to push on for the first goal and were rewarded for their efforts, as Gusev latched on to a low, driven cross to tap into an wide, open net, with the ball somehow evading the Portuguese defence.
However, Kiev's lead lasted only three minutes, as Senegalese striker Aboubakar jumped highest to powerfully head home Maicon's diagonal ball into the middle of the area.
Iker Casillas was forced to make a save just before half time, as Gusev lifted the ball into Denys Garmash who hit his shot into the ground, only for the Spanish goalkeeper to tip it over.
