Ben Wright struck a 95th-minute winner as Eastleigh beat Aldershot Town 1-0 to seal their first ever home victory in the Conference Premier.
The Spitfires, who announced themselves to England's fifth tier with a 3-0 win over Nuneaton on Saturday, looked poised to share the spoils tonight.
However, late substitute Wright pounced with mere seconds remaining to seal the club's maiden win at Ten Acres following their promotion to the football league last season.
Some 30 minutes elapsed before either side fashioned a goalscoring opportunity, and it was the visitors as Jordan Roberts poked just wide of the target following a Jaydon Gibbs cross.
Aldershot continued to threaten and very nearly secured a half-time lead, as Joe Oastler travelled into the area but headed a Damon Lathrope corner over the bar.
The hosts finally found their groove in the second half and came close to edging ahead on the hour mark when Jack Midson fired Jai Reason's cut-back pass against the crossbar.
Eastleigh had Ross Flitney to thank for preserving parity on 82 minutes, with the goalkeeper denying Brett Williams from opening the scoring.
It proved a costly intervention as Wright, who replaced Midson four minutes from the end, stabbed home at the far post to extend the minnows' 100% start to the season.
