New Cardiff City signing Emiliano Sala has been confirmed dead after a plane he was travelling on went missing en route to South Wales.
Sala was one of two people on board the flight to Cardiff, which went missing at around 8.30pm on Monday, January 21.
Private searches discovered the aircraft on the seabed of the English Channel almost two weeks after the disappearance, and a body was recovered from the wreckage.
That body has now been identified as Sala, who had become Cardiff's record signing in a £15m deal from Nantes just days before his tragic death.
The whereabouts of pilot David Ibbotson remain unknown.
