England manager Roy Hodgson claims that his team's biggest strength at Euro 2016 will be in attack.

England manager Roy Hodgson has claimed that he will make the most of his team's attacking strength at Euro 2016.

The 68-year-old opted to select five strikers, including Wayne Rooney, Harry Kane, Jamie Vardy, Daniel Sturridge and 18-year-old Marcus Rashford, who made his international debut five days ago.

A number of young players will represent the Three Lions in the tournament in France, but Hodgson is not concerned about a lack of experience.

"We're not as inexperienced despite the players being quite young," Hodgson told reporters in today's press conference. "Even Marcus has got a cap, we've got quite a lot of players around the 15 to 20 cap mark.

"We've got the balance. If anything, the balance does tilt towards attackers and offensive midfielders. That was a conscious decision. That's where we think our strength lies.

"We have a lot of players in that position who are good enough to represent England both now and in the future. I'm perfectly satisfied that the 23 chosen has been chosen after very serious thought and deliberation, I'm happy with it and understand there will be lots of different opinions."

England's first group game will be against Russia on June 11.
