FIFA president Sepp Blatter has claimed that England were "unlucky" in their World Cup Group D defeat against Uruguay.
Luis Suarez scored twice as the Three Lions fell to a 2-1 defeat that has damaged their hopes of reaching the knockout stages.
"I think England were unlucky," BBC Sport quotes Blatter as saying. "England looked like a good team.
"I think Uruguay had a very good goalkeeper and he made some good saves. This is football, these things can happen."
Blatter has recently hinted that he will stand for re-election as FIFA president.
