England coach Roy Hodgson has hailed Andros Townsend for his "big impact" against Montenegro on Friday.
The 22-year-old winger scored on his debut for the Three Lions as they registered a 4-1 victory at Wembley in their World Cup Group H qualifier.
"He made a big impact," Goal.com quotes Hodgson as saying. "He got the man of the match [award] and fully deserves the praise that will come his way.
"It can't be easy making your debut in a game of that nature but he played very well. He played with a calmness and coolness that I've seen at QPR and Tottenham."
England are currently at the top of Group H with 19 points from nine matches.
