The Football Association has confirmed that England manager Roy Hodgson will name his 30-man provisional World Cup squad on May 12.
The 66-year-old is due to make the announcement at team sponsors Vauxhall's Griffin House headquarters in Luton.
Hodgson suggested on Tuesday that he already knows the 23 players who he will be taking to Brazil, claiming that late-season form will not affect his selection.
Seven stand-by players will also be named in the squad next month.
England get their World Cup campaign underway on June 14 against Italy in Manaus.
