Norwich City manager Chris Hughton believes that England boss Roy Hodgson would be making the correct decision by taking goalkeeper John Ruddy to Brazil for this summer's World Cup.
The 27-year-old is hoping to be named as Joe Hart's number two for the tournament, but West Bromwich Albion's Ben Foster, Stoke City's Jack Butland and Celtic's Fraser Forster are also in contention.
"We're going to be biased of course, but John has been very good," EDP24 quotes Hughton as saying. "He has kept a lot of clean sheets and I am sure Roy will make the right decision, but I have every faith in John that if he needed to do a job at England level at any stage he is very, very capable."
Ruddy has kept 11 clean sheets in the Premier League this season.
