Rickie Lambert has stated that England's players are '100% behind' Wayne Rooney, despite recent criticism.
The Manchester United striker had come under fire following a below-par performance against Peru at Wembley last week.
However, Rooney found the target against Ecuador in England's 2-2 draw on Wednesday night to end his recent international goal drought.
"Everyone is together as a team," Lambert is quoted as saying by talkSPORT. "We're doing really well and there is a good atmosphere amongst the boys and a good spirit so, hopefully, it will continue to build.
"We're behind Wayne Rooney 100% and think he's a world-class player. We're right behind him like we are with every player in our squad.
"We're a team and being like this has got to be our strength if we're going to do well in the tournament."
Lambert completed a move to Liverpool earlier this week.
