Former Liverpool striker Michael Owen has described England's 3-0 win against Peru on Friday as "solid" but warned them that tougher tests lie ahead at the World Cup.
Roy Hodgson's side were not at their best at Wembley but still eased past Peru thanks to goals from Daniel Sturridge, Phil Jagielka and Gary Cahill.
The match proved to be a good workout for the squad before they travel to Miami to play two more friendlies against Ecuador and Honduras next week.
Writing on his official Twitter account, Owen said: "Solid performance from England. Tougher tests lie ahead but you can do no more than win convincingly."
Owen won 89 caps for England between 1998 and 2008, scoring 40 goals in the process.
