England boss Gareth Southgate has declared that he is "so proud" of his staff and players following the Three Lions' 2-0 victory over Sweden in the quarter-finals of the competition.
Southgate's side booked their place in the last four thanks to goals from Harry Maguire and Dele Alli, and the manager hailed his entire camp in his post-match interview.
"It's an incredible privilege to be the England manager anyway, so to be able to take the team this far and knowing the people who have done it in the past, they are people I hold in such high esteem," he told reporters.
"Before the game, we wanted to be here another week. It's up to us now which games we play in.
"I'm so proud of what all of the staff and players have done. We played an opponent whose identity is clear and whose togetherness has at times been too much for us to handle over the years."
England will take on either hosts Russia or Croatia in the semi-finals.
