Daniel Sturridge has said that England will be looking for all three points when they take on Uruguay in Sao Paulo on Thursday.
The Three Lions were beaten 2-1 in their opening World Cup group match against Italy on Saturday, while Uruguay suffered a shock 3-1 defeat against Costa Rica.
"It's a big game but these are the games everyone looks forward to," the Football Association's official website quotes him as saying.
"We all want to play in it and regardless of whether we'd won today or not, we'd have still gone into it with a positive mentality and positive attitude, looking to win the match.
"The fact Uruguay lost earlier doesn't really change anything. If they'd have won their game they'd still want to beat us and secure their advance to the next round as early as possible."
Sturridge scored his fifth goal in 13 appearances for England during Saturday's match against the Italians.
