Espanyol have made a return to winning ways in La Liga with a late 2-1 victory at home to struggling Granada.
Following a lively start, the home side took the lead on 34 minutes when Felipe Caicedo bundled the ball in from close range, after the visitors had failed to clear their lines.
Espanyol almost doubled their advantage 10 minutes into the second half as Sergio Garcia rattled the crossbar, but they pegged back soon after when Youseff El Arabi found the net with a clever volley at the back post.
Granada's cause was made more difficult with eight minutes left as Juan Carlos was dismissed after picking up a second yellow card.
The hosts then came close to going 2-1 up moments later, only for Diego Colotto's header to hit the woodwork.
However, Espanyol found a winner on 90 minutes through Christian Stuani, who was left unmarked to volley in at the back post.
