Former Italy international Damiano Tommasi could resume his playing career after being named in SP La Fiorita's squad list for this season's Europa League.
The 41-year-old retired six years ago, but he is eligible to play in the Sammarinese club's first qualifying-round match against FC Vaduz next Thursday.
"It will be an opportunity for my children to watch me playing again as I've been missing from the international stage for so much time," Tommasi told UEFA.com.
"La Fiorita gave me the chance to relive this kind of challenge. It has been years since I watched a draw with so much anticipation [as I did on Monday]. I hope to add a beautiful chapter to my footballing career."
Tommasi spent most of his playing career at Roma, helping the club to the Serie A title in 2001.
