Everton defender Leighton Baines has called on the club to "think big" in the Europa League this season.
The Toffees get their campaign underway on Thursday night when they welcome Group I rivals Wolfsburg to Goodison Park.
Despite big clubs such as Inter Milan, Celtic and Napoli taking part in this season's competition, Baines is hopeful that Everton can at least reach the final.
"We've got to think big. It's a long competition but you want to get to the final of every cup competition you're in and ultimately win them and that's the aim," he told the Liverpool Echo.
"You imagine it will be a really competitive group. You need those games. There's no point playing against the weaker teams in the competition. You want to qualify from the group and go as far as you can, and you want the big nights at Goodison or wherever it is along the way."
Everton picked up their first win of the new Premier League season last Saturday with a 2-0 victory at West Bromwich Albion.
