Everton manager Roberto Martinez has hinted that Kevin Mirallas is facing a long spell on the sidelines with a hamstring injury.
The Belgian winger suffered the problem on Saturday during his side's 1-1 draw away to local rivals Liverpool in the Premier League.
The Toffees are yet to reveal the full extent of the damage, but Martinez admits that Mirallas is likely to be out of action for a long time.
"It's not a straightforward diagnosis but the signs are not great. Kevin is an ultra-fit boy and when he has to come off in that sort of game you know that something is majorly wrong," he is quoted as saying by BBC Sport. "Once we've got a clear idea on what the injury is, we've got to put a good plan is place."
Everton continue their Europa League campaign on Thursday when they travel to Russia to face FC Krasnodar.
