Everton and Norwich City have played out a goalless first half in their League Cup fourth-round tie at Goodison Park.
Norwich had the better of the possession in the opening five minutes, forcing a couple of corners, while Ramiro Funes Mori had to clear an effort from Wes Hoolahan.
Joel Robles was called into action soon after as Hoolahan got the final touch following a lengthy build-up from the Canaries, but the Everton keeper kept the sides level.
Romelu Lukaku was kept quiet in the opening 20 minutes, but had a chance to break the deadlock when Tyias Browning played the ball through for the Belgian, although the striker could not get the better of Declan Rudd.
Everton started to look the more likely of the two sides as the half progressed, with Arouna Kone trying to pick out Lukaku with a through-ball, but the Belgian was penalised for a foul.
Norwich came close just before the break, though, as Vadis Odjidja-Ofoe carved out some space on the edge of the box before attempting to pick out the top corner, but Robles made the stop.
