Everton manager Roberto Martinez has praised both sets of players following his side's penalty-shootout victory over Norwich City in the League Cup.
The Blues won 4-3 on pens after coming behind to force a 1-1 draw, with Leon Osman cancelling out Sebastien Bassong's opener, and the Spaniard described the match as a "fantastic cup tie".
"I thought it was a fantastic cup tie. Credit to Norwich, they got the crowd frustrated in spells but we dealt with that really well," BBC Sport quotes Martinez as saying.
Everton put away all of their penalties after extra time, while misses by Wes Hoolahan and Nathan Redmond proved costly for Norwich.
