Everton defender Bryan Oviedo has admitted that he had mixed feelings about his return to action for the club in their 3-0 defeat to Swansea City in the Capital One Cup.
The left-back made his first appearance since January after recovering from a broken leg, but was powerless to stop his side exiting the competition in the third round at the Liberty Stadium.
He told the club's official website: "Of course I feel very happy. I want to play. This was a nice opportunity but I don't agree with the result. Swansea played well and scored goals. Games like this happen sometimes.
"It was very emotional to be in the starting line-up again. I was very excited when I knew I would be.
"I had been waiting for eight months and tonight I had the chance. I tried to give everything but the result wasn't good enough. Now we need to go home and look at what went wrong."
Everton face Liverpool in the Merseyside derby in their Premier League clash on Saturday.
