Roberto Martinez has revealed that Bryan Oviedo and Seamus Coleman could both feature again Swansea City this weekend, despite limping off during last week's match.
The pair were both injured in the 3-1 win over Chelsea at Goodison Park last Saturday.
The manager also praised the strength and mentality of his squad ahead of their trip to his old club on Saturday.
Read what else the manager said below.
Good morning! Roberto Martinez will be speaking to the media in around 15 minutes as his side prepare to visit his old club, Swansea City, in the Premier League this weekend. The Toffees will be looking for their third win of the campaign.
This time last year, Everton were preparing for the start of the group stage of the Europa League. The team failed to qualify for the competition again this season, but the manager has insisted that that will benefit his side.
Steven Naismith has struggled to find a place in the starting lineup with Everton this season, coming off the bench to score a hat-trick last Saturday. The Scot will surely be in contention to start this time out. It was an early injury to Muhamed Besic that brought Naismith on against Chelsea. Martinez should provide a fitness update on Besic and the rest of his squad.
There were also debuts for summer signings Aaron Lennon and Ramiro Funes Mori last time out. Lennon, who also had a loan spell with Everton last season, set up the third goal for Naismith, while Funes Mori looked lively in the final stages. It will be interesting to see if they have a bigger role to play this weekend.
The manager should be heading out for his press conference in the next couple of minutes. Don't forget we'll have live coverage of this match, as well as all other Premier League fixtures taking place this weekend, from an hour before kickoff, plus team news, managerial reaction, player ratings and loads more, so make sure you're with us again on Saturday to see if Everton can secure back to back wins.
Everton are unbeaten away from home in the Premier League this season. They comfortably beat Southampton at St Mary's in their first trip of the season, before sharing a goalless draw with Spurs at White Hart Lane just before the recent international break. Swansea have a 100% record at the Liberty Stadium this season though, including a victory over Manchester United.
With Darron Gibson and Leighton Baines both having missed time through injury this season, young defender Brendan Galloway has had an extended run with the first team. The 19-year-old has clearly impressed the manager, as he's revealed that the teenager is to be offered a new contract.
Everton have a busy few days away from home, as they travel to Reading in the League Cup just three days after their visit to the Liberty Stadium. The Toffees had to come from behind twice to beat League One side Barnsley in extra time last month, so the manager will be looking for a stronger performance from his side for their visit to the Championship club on Tuesday.
Right then, Martinez is in place ready to speak about the match against Swansea, so let's see what's on the manager's mind this week.
It's good news on the injury front for Everton, as Martinez confirms: "We had positive news on Besic and Coleman, both are reacting well to treatment and could be back on Saturday or Tuesday."
Leandro Rodriguez is yet to make his debut for Everton after joining towards the end of the transfer window, and the manager insists: "He's a goal scorer, I've been very impressed with his attitude. He's not far from being involved in the first team, and with two games in the next few days he will be very important."
Martinez reveals that he is happy with his current squad: "I feel we have a winning squad, with characters who are hungry for success and can push each other. Our mentality has been right for a long time now, it's about getting momentum and being consistent."
Sticking with the strength of the Everton squad, the manager adds: "When you look at the subs bench on Saturday, you feel very, very confident that you have good options and can cope with any injuries or setbacks you might have over 95 minutes. We are very proud of the work we have done behind the scenes over the last two years."
Turning his attention to this weekend's opponents, Martinez admits: "I am an admirer of what Garry Monk has done at Swansea. I don't see another manager who has had such a big influence over the last three seasons. The team play with a strong philosophy, they are always competitive and in their last game they deserved to beat a team like Manchester United. It speaks volumes where they are and where they can go. With Garry, I feel many good things can happen with Swansea."
Having already faced Man City, Chelsea and Spurs, and with games against Liverpool and Arsenal just a couple of weeks away, Martinez insists that he was prepared for a difficult start to the season: "We knew our first 10 fixtures would be very touch, but we look forward to the challenges in the next month."
Well, that's all from Martinez today. The manager seems in a confident mood following his side's win over Chelsea, and certainly seems pleased with his squad.
So, join us again on Saturday to see if Everton can maintain their unbeaten away record in the Premier League this season. Until then, thanks for joining me this morning. Goodbye.
