Swansea City and Everton have played out a goalless first half in their Premier League fixture this afternoon.
Both sides struggled to create opportunities for much of the first half, as the first chance fell to Romelu Lukaku, whose drilled free kick from the edge of the box was dealt with by the Swansea defence.
Phil Jagielka almost opened the scoring soon after, but his header from a Ross Barkley corner went over the bar.
Bafetimbi Gomis missed the game's best opportunity on 17 minutes, as the Swansea striker produced an acrobatic effort, but Everton keeper Tim Howard was equal to the challenge.
Moments later Gomis missed another good chance, as the French striker picked up on a slack back pass by Gareth Barry, but his effort went wide.
Everton missed three opportunities to score before the break, as Steven Naismith tested Swans keeper Lukasz Fabianski, before Arouna Kone and Barkley saw efforts fly over the bar.
