West Ham United boss Sam Allardyce has challenged his players to avenge their recent defeat to Everton when they meet in the FA Cup tonight.
The Hammers saw their Premier League campaign suffer a setback at Goodison Park two months ago as they went down 2-1 to the Toffees.
However, ahead of their third-round clash on Merseyside this evening, Allardyce is eager for his team to make amends against Roberto Martinez's men.
"We really shouldn't have lost and gifted them the game with what's been our Achilles heel recently - over-attacking," he told the club's official website. "It looked as if anyone was going to win there it would have been us, but we didn't do our job defensively properly."
West Ham were thrashed 5-0 by Nottingham Forest in the third round of last season's FA Cup.
