Everton have reportedly rejected claims that Vitor Pereira has committed to a pre-contract agreement to become the club's new manager.
The Merseyside outfit are in the hunt for a new leader following David Moyes's move to Manchester United following an 11-year stint at Goodison Park.
It had been suggested that Pereira, who led Porto to Primeira Liga glory, was close to moving to the club, but Everton have insisted that he has not agreed a switch, according to the Liverpool Daily Post.
While Pereira is thought to be a candidate, the future of another contender, Roberto Martinez at Wigan Athletic, is expected to be decided today.
