Everton goalkeeper Tim Howard has signed a new contract with the Toffees, keeping him at Goodison Park until 2016.
The USA international is poised to reach a milestone of 10 years on Merseyside with the new contract, and the 33-year-old has revealed his delight in committing his future to the Premier League club.
"I couldn't be happier," Howard told the club's official website. "I've had a smile on my face ever since we finalised the deal.
"When you have a really good relationship in life and both sides are eager to continue and keep that going, it's a no-brainer.
"This hasn't been a knockdown, drawn-out type of negotiation with meetings or anything like that. They were very happy to keep me here and I was very, very happy to stay. It's a place that is home for me."
Howard first stepped foot on Goodison Park in 2006 when he joined the Toffees on loan from Manchester United.
