Tim Howard has said that Everton are in a good position to compete for silverware in the near future.
The Toffees keeper, who signed a new contract with Everton this week, believes that the club's recent performances have proved that the team could also be on the verge of a return to Europe.
"I hope to be able to get ourselves into Europe, get into more cup finals," he told the Liverpool Echo.
"We want to get back to that stage and put ourselves in the running to win some silverware.
"I think we are on the up, performances are good, but we still have that foundation of toughness."
Meanwhile, Everton welcome Tottenham to Goodison Park in this afternoon's late kickoff.
