Everton manager Roberto Martinez has praised his side for their "tremendous season" following Saturday's 3-2 defeat to Manchester City.
The Toffees missed out on Champions League qualification as they were narrowly beaten by the title favourites at Goodison Park.
Despite having to settle for a place in the Europa League next year, Martinez believes that his players should be proud of their achievements.
"It's one of those moments with mixed emotions," the Spaniard told the club's official website. "I think we need to let the result settle in but overall realise it's been a tremendous season.
"We again showed arrogance and the belief we have and our group is one to be very excited about for the future."
Everton play their final game of the season next Sunday when they travel to Hull City.
