Everton manager David Moyes has insisted that his side deserve their fourth-place position in the Premier League following a last-gasp win over Tottenham Hotspur.
Spurs led at Goodison Park heading into stoppage time but goals from Steven Pienaar and Nikica Jelavic turned the game on its head.
Moyes believes that Everton have done enough to be mentioned in the race for Champions League places but was quick to point out that the job is nowhere near done.
He told the club's official website: "The position we are in doesn't shame Everton or the way we have been playing.
"We could have quite easily slipped, the league is that tight.
"It feels good today but we have got to make sure we maintain it."
The Toffees are ahead of Spurs and West Bromwich Albion on goal difference in a congested race for European qualification.
